Sweat gland
suctioning

Increased sweat gland production (hyperhidrosis) is a condition that affects both sexes in equal measure. It tends to vary in severity and can affect different parts of the body, such as the armpits, feet and hands. Several regions of the body are often affected at once.

This condition is diagnosed and assessed using a so-called gravimetry – a procedure that determines the amount of sweat produced. Once a diagnosis has been established, there are various treatments available.

Botulinumtoxin

Botulinum toxin injections are regularly chosen to treat hyperhidrosis. Botulinum toxin has an inhibiting effect on sweat gland production and can be injected into the affected areas as required.

sweat gland suction

Another option is provided by liposuction combined with a curettage of the sweat glands. This procedure is especially well-suited to hyperhidrosis of the armpits.
