Breast augmentation
with autologous fat

Breast augmentation using autologous fat (fat from the patient’s own body) is a very popular method for women who do not want to use implants and introduce foreign items into their bodies.

The procedure has been around for decades, but it is constantly being refined and perfected – the harvesting (removing the fatty tissue), reconditioning and the uptake rate (acceptance and survival of the fat cells) are all being improved all the time. These refinements mean that undesired complications (such as calcifications, necrosis etc.) can be kept to a minimum.

Dr Theodorou has taken part in several studies that have helped to refine this method. His patients can benefit from the findings from these studies, which have been recognised across the world.

The fatty tissue is removed using water-assisted liposuction and inserted into the breast via special cannulas. This means that patients can also benefit from a side-effect of breast augmentation, as liposuction is used to remove fat from a problem area on their body.

The result is a very natural breast shape. Furthermore, the method is minimally invasive and does not leave any scars. The procedure can be repeated as many times as required until the patient is happy with the size of their breasts.
