Double chin

The “cervicomental” angle – the sharp angle between the chin and the neck – epitomises youth, elegance and a fresh appearance. Over the years, weight fluctuations can cause the tissue to become less taut. The angle becomes increasingly obtuse and there is less definition between the chin and the neck. Instead of a sharp angle, there is a protrusion of fatty tissue and excess skin – commonly referred to as a double chin. Affected patients look older and feel less attractive.

This problem area can be treated with liposuction. In more severe cases, it may need to be combined with a neck lift. For certain patients, the double chin is only part of the problem, as the slack tissue is not just limited to the neck area but affects the face as well.

We can use a detailed face and neck analysis to discuss the problem areas with you and develop a tailor-made solution.
